Crowns and bridges are a solution to replace damaged or missing teeth. A crown restores a damaged tooth back to its original shape and size. It acts as a cap over the original tooth to protect it from further damage. Bridges are used to permanently join a gap caused by one or more missing teeth. This procedure preserves and restores your teeth while looking so natural, you won’t notice a difference.
HOW DO CROWNS AND BRIDGES WORK?
Crowns are typically needed when a tooth is decayed or damaged. It is placed over the compromised tooth and customized to look just like the original. Bridges are needed when one or more teeth are missing. A bridge is usually attached to the 2 surrounding teeth, with a prosthetic tooth in the middle bridging the gap.
WHAT ARE CROWNS AND BRIDGES MADE OF?
Bridges are made from porcelain and can be customized to perfectly match the color of your teeth. Crowns are often made from metal, porcelain or resin.
HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY CROWN OR BRIDGE?
Crowns and bridges should receive the same care and treatment as natural teeth. Brush at least twice a day and floss regularly. If your bridge is removable, make sure it is brushed and rinsed each time you take it out before placing it back in the mouth. Keep the gums underneath your removable bridge clean by brushing and rinsing regularly. As always, don’t forget to stay up to date on your routine cleanings here at Inspire Dental. We recommend at least twice a year.
Here’s What Our Patients
Are Saying
“I had to take my 6 y.o. son to the dentist to have his baby teeth pulled out, since they were not falling out on their own. It was his first time going to the dentist, and we were both nervous. However, we were so glad to go to Dr. Qureshi. She put my son at ease, and made it a pleasurable experience! He hardly flinched during the whole procedure. She is super friendly, and has great bedside manners. I would highly recommend her, we are her patients for life!”

“I recently became a patient of Dr. Qureshi and I could not be more pleased!! She treated me with the utmost care and professionalism. I was thoroughly impressed with the level of education she provided me while dealing with some of my dental anxieties. I felt completely at ease with my treatment during my appointment. She even reached out to me the following day to check up on me after my procedure! I highly recommend her and her practice!! She is top notch and I now look forward to visiting the dentist!!!”
